This module had a quick turnaround and was a highly profiled initiative, being the #2 traffic driver to stores. I extracted the designs from in-store signage that I had photographed and recreated them in Storyline. The goal was to create a cheerful, energetic module that motivated Beauty Advisors to embrace this critical drive time.

For this high-profile module deployed to 430 domestic stores, I encountered a unique challenge — delivering a highly interactive solution within the standard two-week design and development timeframe. The request was for something more akin to a microsite than a typical eLearning module. Recognizing that Storyline alone wouldn't suffice, I incorporated a web object and leveraged HTML5 to code the entire module, using JavaScript for seamless communication with Storyline and the Bigtincan LMS. The culmination of our efforts was presented at a department town hall, where it received accolades from store managers for its unique approach and its effectiveness in educating the beauty advisors.

Sephora boasts an extensive collection of educational videos incorporated into various learning modules. However, we identified an issue where learners were skipping over videos containing crucial information. Our challenge was compounded by the use of a video delivery system that did not allow us to embed videos directly into Storyline. In response, I proposed the idea of creating our own HTML interactive video player, seamlessly integrated into Storyline. The management team embraced the idea, recognizing the potential for in-house development to yield cost savings and not impact module load times. This solution was later transformed into a template and utilized multiple times.

To promote inclusivity among both new and established Beauty Advisors, Sephora initiated the 'We Belong to Something Beautiful' campaign. As a key part of this endeavor, an artist was commissioned to create vector artwork, and I was responsible for animating it for use on the company website, corporate presentations, and learning modules. I manually coded the animation using a combination of the GreenSock JavaScript library, HTML, and CSS, employing it as both an HTML object and a video.

To sustain user engagement in interactive content, I developed a distinctive design for a matching game. Departing from the traditional drag-and-drop approach, this game allowed learners to select any card and pair it with another. To heighten the enjoyment and gamify the experience, I introduced animated hearts to track progress and incorporated sound effects for green checkmarks and red X's to signify correct or incorrect matches. This template has been utilized multiple times since its inception.
